Museums
The Eko Museum in the Ätran valley is our biggest museum and covers
the whole of the Ätran valley between Falköping and Ulricehamn.
The area has 80 different visiting points, all of which depict "Agriculture
over 6,000 years". The visiting points include nature reserves, inns,
a prehistoric village, mills, rune stones and burial grounds.
A complete brochure about the Falbygden/Ätradalen Eko Museum is available
at the visiting points and from the Tourist Office.
Kronogården at Trädet, one of the visiting points at the Eko
Museum, is a 19th century farm with an agriculture and brewery museum,
a nature exhibition and a walking area, cafe. Open every Thursday, May
18 - August 31, 6 pm - 8 pm.
Ulricehamn Museum is housed in the town´s first school, which dates
from 1868, and depicts different eras in the history of the community.
The basic exhibitions include costumes, crafts, an ironmonger´s,
a grocery store, toys and the self-sufficiency of the agricultural community.
During the year temporary exhibitions are arranged and this summer there
is a crafts exhibition. The museum is open on Tuesday 12 noon - 4 pm,
Thursday 12 noon - 6 pm and Sunday 2 pm - 6 pm. No admission fee.

Ulricehamn Art and East India Museum is housed in the old railway station
in the centre of the town. Displays include Chinese ceramics from 2,500
BC through to the beginning of the 20th century. The museum also houses
a small art department. Open: Sundays 1 pm - 6 pm. Admission 20 kronor.
