A popular promenade the Avenue des Champs-Élysées has long

(235ft) wide stretch is an ideal place for evening walks and relishing the

1889 to 2002, the Eiffel Tower has welcomed 200 million visitors of all
ages and origins from the four corners of the globe, who have come to
admire the "Iron Lady" and the city panorama from its 324-meter
height.

Established
in 1793 by the French Republic, the Louvre Museum, is one of the earliest
European museums. Divided into 7 departments, the Louvre collections incorporate
works dating from the birth of the great antique civilisations right up
to the first half of the XIXth century

Historic
mainstays of Paris' legendary nightlife, the shows at Moulin Rouge (Red
Windmill), emphasizing strip routines and sexuality, continue to draw crowds.
Built between 1875 and 1914 as a monument to the Franco-Prussian war of
1870, Sacré Coeur sits atop Montmartre. One of Paris' most characteristic
landmarks, the basilica is a popular tourist site.
