A magical place
No trip to Copenhagen would be complete without a visit to Tivoli
(it's open from mid April to mid September). Right in the middle of town,
Tivoli offers both the fun of the fair, the peace and tranquillity of
a park and the ambience of the many open air cafes, restaurants and bars.

It's a real wonderland for kids of all ages, with its marooned pirate
ship, roller coaster rides, shooting galleries, and new this year, the
Valhala Castle, home of The Nordics God, Odin, who welcomes children to
the Valhala Restaurant.
The Tivoli Gardens have been a romantic haven for Copenhageners and their
guests for more than 150 years, and it's this sense of continuity which
gives the gardens their unique magic. As the evening draws in and the
lights begin to twinkle through the trees, it's difficult to define where
the make-believe world of Tivoli stops and the real begins.
The
green towers of the neighbouring Rådhus seem so close as to be part of
the gardens themselves, and as the late night fireworks explode over the
theatres and amusements, everyone in town gets to share the experience.
The ingredients are numerous: buildings in many styles, merry-go-rounds
and roller coasters for all ages, music and dance and a unique atmosphere
that can´t be found anywhere else in the world. The magic gardens
are filled with a multitude of flowers, trees and lights that are absolutely
over-whelming.
